Power of Produce Club

Albany Farmers' Market, June 15–August 31

Summers at the Albany Farmers’ Market are special.

Bring your kids for the twelve-week long PoP Club program where they will be empowered by the Power of Produce!

The 2 Bite Challenge will have them tasting fruits and vegetables straight from the farm. All are encouraged to take a bite and record their opinion. Many families are surprised to see their kids’ excitement to take this “challenge” each week.

Thanks to grants and local sponsorships, kids, 4 – 12 yrs may take home their choice of fruit or vegetable from the PoP Club booth.

Visit the Albany Public Library booth to sign up for summer programs. APL will offer a scavenger hunt for kids to navigate through the market, talk to farmers and learn about local food!

The OSU Extension Food Hero booth will offer recipes and samples for all.

See our News + Events calendar for scheduled booths

“Every Saturday in the summer we can’t wait to get down to the PoP stand at the farmers’ market. It has been a great way to get our kids to try new vegetables each week and to get to know some of the local farms as well.”
