As the 2026 season of the Corvallis Winter Market opens, a new and larger shed is under construction on the northern end of the RV sheds adjacent to Guerber Hall. The market will end up with more covered area, but the roof is not yet in place.
Another big change: The transportation team of the Corvallis Sustainability Coalition is bringing bike racks to the south entrance of the winter market. These racks are used at other local events, but they will stay in place for the market season.
The Corvallis Winter Market operates in a mix of indoor and outdoor spaces at the Benton County Fairgrounds.
A number of vendors are inside Guerber Hall. But a larger number of vendor spaces are outside under cover between two other sheds. Restaurants and a few other vendors are in the area to be covered by the new structure. The market also will have vendors north of all covered areas.
Corvallis-Albany Farmers’ Markets performs many management functions for the winter market, which remains a separate nonprofit.
Together, market organizers are working to make the winter market as efficient and resilient as possible while retaining its many strengths. We recognize that the lack of bus service to the Corvallis Winter Market site is a barrier for many people, and we are working to find ways to address it.
What has not changed:
- Double Up Food Bucks, which provides a match of up to $20 when you convert SNAP to winter market tokens
- Great local foods and artisan goods
- Plenty of parking in the Reservoir Road gravel lot south of the market
