Learning Takes Root
Farmers’ markets are community gathering spaces and places of informal learning. CAFM offers a limited amount of space to events and activities on most market days. Our preferred partners are other nonprofits, OSU, local governments and their contractors, and other community events.
We focus on subject areas that include food and nutrition, gardening, agriculture, human and animal health, art, history, reading, soil and water conservation/quality, and other science relevant to the natural world. We strongly encourage organizations to propose interactive events.

The OSU Extension Groundwater Protection program is excited to offer free nitrate screenings! Bring 1/2 a cup of well water in a clean cup to be tested. Testing takes about 10 minutes. Nitrate has been linked to various health conditions, including blue-baby syndrome.

Heart of the Valley Homebrewers

HOTV Homebrewers are promoting the upcoming SeptemBeerFest on September 13th 2025 at Avery Park. The event will start at 12 noon to 7pm. We will have 3 live bands, several food carts, and over 20 venders sharing their beer samples with us. HOTV Homebrewers will also be serving free tasters of beer made by our brewers. This is our annual fund riser for the Corvallis area. We will donate all proceeds to local charities.
