Learning Takes Root
Farmers’ markets are community gathering spaces and places of informal learning. CAFM offers a limited amount of space to events and activities on most market days. Our preferred partners are other nonprofits, OSU, local governments and their contractors, and other community events.
We focus on subject areas that include food and nutrition, gardening, agriculture, human and animal health, art, history, reading, soil and water conservation/quality, and other science relevant to the natural world. We strongly encourage organizations to propose interactive events.

Food Hero has something for everyone. We offer healthy recipes that are tasty, quick, easy and low-cost. Gardening tips are also simple and low-cost. Cultural workgroups help develop our materials — such as Food Hero Monthly -- which are available in Spanish and in English.
